The PADI Night Diver course opens up a whole new world of underwater exploration. It is designed for divers who want to explore the underwater world after dark and experience the unique beauty of marine life that comes to life at night. What Will You Learn?
The PADI Night Diver course will teach you how to dive safely in low-light conditions. Here’s what you’ll cover:
Planning Night Dives: You’ll learn how to plan your night dive to ensure safety, including the proper use of lights and safety procedures.
Night Diving Skills: You’ll practice using dive lights, understanding the effects of darkness on visibility, and navigating safely in low-light conditions.
Marine Life at Night: Discover the types of creatures that are more active at night, such as nocturnal fish, bioluminescent plankton, and other marine animals that come to life after sunset.
Safety and Communication: Learn how to communicate with your buddy using light signals and other techniques specific to night diving.
Course Prerequisites: To enroll in the PADI Night Diver course, you must be:
A certified PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent).

What’s Involved in the PADI Night Diver Course?
Knowledge Development (Theory):
Learn the specifics of night diving, including the effects of darkness on vision, safety practices, and equipment needed for night dives. This can be done through eLearning or in a classroom session.Confined Water Skills:
Although the course is primarily open water-focused, you’ll have the chance to practice using a dive light, understanding its effects on your vision, and mastering night diving skills in shallow water.Open Water Dives:
You’ll complete three night dives under the supervision of your instructor. During these dives, you’ll practice skills such as proper lighting techniques, navigation, and observing nocturnal marine life.
